Olio Verde was the first Sicilian olive oil made with 100% Nocellara del Belice olives and it continues to be a concentration of impressive complexity. The 2020 Harvest has the aroma of tomatoes, as if you’ve just opened a jar of tomato passata. It is very well-balanced, with medium fruitiness and spiciness in total harmony. It has a mild, soft nuttiness, and a hint of peppery greens that amuses the palate. The mouthfeel is unctuous and velvety, typical of Sicilian oils of the “New Generation,” which Olio Verde helped foster.
