Macaroni/Pasta/Rice
Are you ready for this? There are about 600 types of macaroni or pasta. It is said that different shapes hold the sauce in different ways. Do you think that is that just a way to promote the different shapes and sizes? We tend to think so, but that is our opinion. In addition to different shapes and sizes, there are some made with vegetables, or squid ink, hence, the tri-color or "colore" for a lot of the varities. The Culinary Counselor`s favorite macaroni-pasta is rigatoni, followed by a clean cut Penne (no lines), and a Tagliatelle. That`s it for me, the Culinary Counselor.
